Absolutely not.  The live preview is meant to give you a sense of what the straw will look like but our team of experts will optimize the content and send over a proof for your approval.  

Horizontal and narrow images or logo are ideal.  With a narrow width (0.2" or 13 pixels), the engravable area can be challenging for some logos but we will work with you to customize the exact look you are looking for in the event you are having trouble.  Simply process the order with the closet version and we will work with you to optimize and perfect the design.  

Most likely yes.  Simply place the order with the text and/or logo desired and our experts will begin working with you to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

Yes.  We can remove the background to ensure the logo or photo appears properly on the straw.  We will send you an image of the desired prototype for approval before production begins.  

Rest assured, no ink or dye is used in the engraving process.

Yes.  If an order has an urgent timeline, we will work hard to meet the deadline you desire.  Simply notify us of the timeline and we will give you our most shortest timeline.  Please be aware an expedited fee may apply. 

Due to the custom nature of the straws, once a design is approved returns cannot be accepted unless something is materially wrong with the straws or they are damaged. 

Reed straws are made from the stems of the Reed Plant. Reed is known as the cousin of Bamboo, with similar durability characteristics. They are sources from small sustainable farms in Southeast Asia.

Reed straws can be used in any hot or cold beverage, but are best suited for smoothies, shakes or thicker iced-drinks.

At this time, we are offering standard size Reed Straws that are appropriately 7.75 inches in length. The diameter varies as it is a natural plant stem between 7-9 millimeters in diameter

Reed straws are harvested annually and are cut to desired length and cleaned using salt water / UV sterilization methods.

Our line of reed straws are similar to bamboo in that they can be reused over and over. To be cleaned, they can be run under warm water and are also dishwasher friendly. When they have seen better days, they can be disposed of either in a compost bin or in the trash. They will decompose naturally over time and will return naturally back to the Earth. (Note: they are not required to be composted like other bioplastic straws.)

Yes, we offer custom branded solutions to engrave your logo or quote into the straw. These are great for weddings, corporate gifts, or any other branding opportunities. We also offer branded pouches for travel purposes.

We offer small packs of 10 straws for home use, boxes of 250 and cases of 1,500 for businesses.

Our reed stem straws originate from small batch farms throughout southeast Asia. Design, distribution, fulfillment and sales are all handled in North America.

We recommend storing one or two straws in the pouch at a time. Three straws are possible but not recommended.

Yes. We can print on the pouches in any color you desire.

We recommend washing the straws with hot water and then thoroughly drying the straws before placing them into the pouch. The jute pouch does allow for breathability which is important in the drying process. Please do not store wet straws or straws that have not been cleaned. Our straws are 100% reed plant stems and will start the degrading process if they remain wet for long periods of time.
